About Geogroup

Geogroup is a GEO infrastructure platform built on the premise that the web is being re-indexed by artificial intelligence. Search engines are no longer the only — or even the primary — way people discover information. AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity now answer questions directly, citing sources they trust. Geogroup builds the technical infrastructure that makes websites worthy of that trust.

Our Mission

We exist to close the gap between how websites are built today and how AI systems need them to be structured. Most websites were designed for human browsers and search engine crawlers. AI systems have fundamentally different requirements: they need clean, semantic HTML they can parse without executing JavaScript. They need structured data that explicitly declares meaning. They need consistent, authoritative content that merits citation.

Geogroup provides the infrastructure layer that bridges this gap — without requiring businesses to rebuild their websites from scratch.

How GEO Differs from SEO

Traditional Search Engine Optimization (SEO) focuses on ranking in search engine result pages — blue links on Google. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) focuses on being cited in AI-generated answers. The differences are structural:

SEO

  • Optimizes for keyword rankings
  • Targets search result page position
  • Relies on backlinks and domain authority
  • Content consumed by search crawlers
  • Success = higher ranking position

GEO

  • Optimizes for AI citation inclusion
  • Targets AI-generated answer text
  • Relies on structured data and content authority
  • Content consumed by LLM training and inference
  • Success = named citation in AI responses

GEO does not replace SEO — it addresses a fundamentally different discovery channel. As AI-powered search grows, businesses need both. Geogroup focuses exclusively on the GEO infrastructure layer.

Our Approach

We take a signals-based, infrastructure-first approach to GEO. Rather than chasing individual AI platforms, we build the foundational layer that all AI systems look for:

  • Clean-room HTML: Server-rendered pages that AI crawlers can parse without JavaScript execution
  • Structured data: Schema.org JSON-LD on every page declaring content meaning explicitly
  • AI surface files: llms.txt, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, ai-content-index.json — the files AI systems check first
  • Measurable scoring: An 8-signal framework that quantifies AI-readiness with a composite GEO score
  • Continuous monitoring: Real-time bot crawl logging, daily health checks, and automated audit reports
